This week’s educator resources, Building Resilienceoffer structured lesson plans and activities to enhance students' understanding of mental health, resilience, and help-seeking skills. They provide evidence-based strategies to support emotional awareness, stress management, and overall wellbeing in young people.

Educator Resources:

1. Provided by School Mental Health Ontario, Student Mental Health in Action is a series of lessons to support the development of basic mental health knowledge and help-seeking skills. The lessons are designed for use with secondary students, focusing on building their understanding of mental health and mental illness, signs of mental health problems, and how/where to access help when needed.

2. Accredited by the Personal, Social, Health, and Economic (PSHE) Education Association, BReal: Building Stress Resilience in Early Adolescents' Lives includes evidence-based resources to help improve young people’s resilience, and enable them to develop skills to cope with everyday challenges.

3. Provided by Samaritans, DEAL: Developing Emotional Awareness and Listening includes lesson plans, activities, and hand-outs designed to help develop resilience in young people.
