A small number of employers can have a big impact. At WCB, just 25 of our 20,000-plus employers account for 40 per cent of time-loss injuries. Not because they're unsafe, but because of their size. In 2025, we changed how we work with these employers to drive greater impact.

Our work with the Department of Public Works is a great example of this in action. It’s helping strengthen both injury prevention and return-to-work outcomes 
— and building trust along the way.

Since launching in January, Work-Connected Recovery has delivered faster treatment, more coordinated care, and 80 per cent of workers back on the job within 90 days.

Behind every recovery are dedicated people like Return-to-Work Manager Angela Morris, who partners with employers and providers to help more Nova Scotians return to work.

In 2025, 22 Nova Scotians lost their lives at or because of their work, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew them.
