My experience with WorkBC has been a great journey and is worth a mention in my experience of migrating to Canada. When COVID-19 hit the economy badly with multiple layoffs in the country, it was much more difficult for anyone in the tourism industry and the retail business to start a new career. I was looking for some help wherein I posted about it on multiple social groups, and then
I met the case manager in the resource room of WorkBC, and she referred me to the occupational training program. It is a great pleasure to share my experience with WorkBC and their services. My Career counsellor team helped me find valuable information regarding my ideal career path. The program helped me to maintain my passion and encouraged me to work on my education and transferable skills in times like COVID-19. Also, it allowed me to rebuild my self-confidence and helped build my future career.
I passed the Multicultural Worker training course and graduated with a certificate. After my internship, I got my current job with the help of the WorkBC Job Developer team.
I used to be a vulnerable group during the pandemic, but now I can help other vulnerable groups in return in my current career.
The employment services staff at WorkBC are committed to their job and are available for their clients to help them make wise decisions. I am so happy to find such great help and continue to share a good bond with them. I highly recommend WorkBC to everyone who seeks suitable career guidance and financial assistance to build their career.
