Vol d'un survivant à l'autre: a success

The "Vol d'un survivant à l'autre" event was created in 2011 by Hugo Desrochers, a member of Aviateurs.Québec. The purpose of this event is to raise funds for the benefit of young children fighting against cancer (Charles-Bruneau Foundation). Hugo Desrochers is a pilot for Air Canada and himself fought leukemia at the age of 29. 

This year, a record amount of $31,055 was raised. It's not too late to contribute to this cause. You can do this by going to the following link: Flight of a survivor

AQTA Networking cocktail, November 3, 2022

This event is intended for all companies that gravitate around the world of aviation in Quebec. Training program

We are resuming our in person training program. The next session will be in Gatineau on November 12. The training will be given by Nathalie Fortin, instructor at the Rockcliffe Flying Club.

The training will focus on module #3 of the general aviation safety campaign, namely risk management associated with the approach and landing phase.

Location: Gatineau Recreational Association - 13 rue du curé Labelle, Gatineau.

This training is free for members of Aviateurs.Québec and $45 for non-members. This $45 contribution can be converted into a membership in Aviateurs.Québec, giving you the right to all the privileges of a membership in Aviateurs.Québec.

The last RVA of the season: it's in Saint-Cuthbert (CCU2) this week-end.

Open House - Trois-Rivières Airport

As part of its 60th anniversary , Trois-Rivières Airport invites the public to an “Open House” day on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from noon to 4 p.m.

For a rare time, experience the site from the inside, airside, an area usually reserved for employees, pilots and passengers.

Street food, musical entertainment, inflatable games for children, the visit is festive and interactive!

October 15, 2022 / Noon to 4 p.m.

Photo competition 2022: tell us about your summer

The competition continues. The theme for October is tell us about your summer.

The concept is simple: send us photos of your getaways this summer. 

For those who would like to participate, the contest continues. You can now send us photos by writing to us at photos@aviateurs.quebec .

For the October round, you have until October 31 at 10:00 p.m. to send us your photos by giving us:

  • The TITLE of the photo
  • The full NAME of the PHOTOGRAPHER
  • YOUR full NAME
  • Your member NUMBER (IN RULE).
  • For the rest, we will consider that you have read and accepted the rules when you participate… The rules of the contest are HERE

And, we have a new pricing structure:

  • Monthly price: $55 credit applicable towards a membership renewal (new in 2022), a cap or a polo shirt.
  • Annual price:
    • First prize: $150 gift certificate + trophy
    • Second: $100 gift certificate + trophy
    • Third prize: $50 gift certificate + trophy

Obituary: Jean Moreau

 

It is with sadness that we learned of the death of one of our own, Jean Moreau.

He died at the CHSLD of Hôtel-Dieu de Saint-Hyacinthe on September 2, 2022, at the age of 93.
