Intercultural Youth Employment Services (IYES) Program
Join the second cohort of PICS new youth program for those seeking employment. Through a mix of skills development, employment readiness training, and practical work experience, the program aims to empower youth to re-enter the workforce and pursue sustainable careers.
What's included:
- Various certifications such as Emergency First Aid, Food Safe, Financial Literacy and more.
- Four weeks of employment skills training
- Six weeks of paid work experience
- 1:1 Career coaching, mentorship and more!
Eligibility:
- Youth aged 15-30
- Candian Citizens, Permanent Resident or Refugees with Protected Status
- Not active in employment, education or training
- Facing barriers to employment
- Open to eligible youth, with a focus on Indigenous, racialized, newcomer, 2SLGBTQI+, and youth living with disabilities
Start Date: July 14, 2025
Duration: 10 weeks - fully in-person, Monday - Thursday, for four weeks at Unit #202, 12725 – 80th Avenue, Surrey, BC V3W 3A6
