BASTION LIGHTING CALENDAR | | Improving Asset Management In 2021, we embarked on digitizing the way we manage City-owned assets such as roads, water mains, fleet vehicles, parks and buildings to keep all the information in one place. This week, we begin the phased implementation of the new asset management software system by starting with our sanitary sewer department. The software will make it easier to determine the best time to proactively maintain assets to get the longest lifespan out of them and when to replace them before they get too expensive to maintain. This multi-year project received funding from the Canada Community-Building Fund and is expected to be complete by 2025. MORE INFO | | Fence Repair or Replacement Did you know? A building permit isn't required for a fence; however, the fence does need to be in complance with the Zoning Bylaw. Here are some tips: - Ornamentation and barbwire is included in fence height
- Retaining walls are regulated by fence height regulations
- Railings are included in retaining wall height
