Dance North - Ballroom & Social Dancing in Prince George

Recreation Close to Home

Engage Sport North is collaborating with the College Heights, Beaverly, Hart, South & West Bowl Community associations along with the City of Prince George to offer grassroots recreation programming and support community development in these communities.

From October - December 2026, kids ages 6-13 can join fun activities like basketball, floor hockey, multi-sport, and volleyball.

$60 per participant for 8 weeks of programming

VIM/VIGOUR

Vim (ages 10–13) and Vigour (ages 14–18) are athlete development programs focused on improving speed, agility, strength, vertical jump, and overall athletic performance. These sessions incorporate fundamental movement skills along with advanced training methods for both athletes and para-athletes in all sports.

The UNBC Timberwolves Men’s and Women’s varsity teams return to the field and court in the fall for the start of the 2026-27 Canada West league season! Timberwolves take on the best in Western Canada and look to make a return to the Canada West playoffs!

A great way to get some Cardio into your day.

Cardio drumming is a fun, low-impact exercise that combines rhythmic drumming, music, and movement to improve physical, cognitive, and social well-being for seniors.

What Cardio Drumming Involves? Cardio drumming uses drumsticks or lightweight sticks to strike an exercise ball or drum in time with music.

Movements can be performed seated or standing, making it accessible for seniors with varying mobility levels.The activity often incorporates arm, leg, and full-body movements, turning it into a gentle, low-impact aerobic workout .

Some programs, like Drum FIT Classics, also include music-based social activities to enhance engagement and enjoyment.

Competitive Speed Swimming

The Prince George Pisces is a year-round competitive swim club operating under the BC Summer Swim Association through distinct Fall/Winter maintenance and Summer competitive seasons.

Dedicated to promoting speed swimming, the club fosters individual athletic development, essential life skills, and lasting friendships.

Fall registration opens to the public on August 25, 2026.

We offer private lessons in piano, voice, guitar, violin, cello, saxophone, flute and harp. Our groups include Rhythm, Rhyme and Song (for infants/toddlers), Music for Young Children (children 3 and up), Joy of Singing (fun, low pressure vocal group), Adult Group Guitar, groups for string players of all abilities, saxophone quartets, music history and theory, and the PG Symphony Youth Orchestra. New this year is the Nechako Fiddlers group and the Cantore Alegre choir.

Flower and Petals Art Club (Ages 1-5 + Guardians)

Join us for our first Guardian and Me art class, designed to give both guardians and their little ones their own creative space while sharing a special experience.

Parents will be guided through an art project by Indigenous Programmer Crystal Behn, while children will engage in their own age-appropriate activities lead by Public Progamming Coordinator Maya Levy.

A FREE healthy lifestyle program for individuals 55+

Choose to Move is a FREE 3 month supported, social and motivating program, which assists older inactive adults to become more physically and socially active. Each person establishes their own appropriate physical activity routine that works for them based on their goals, interests and current abilities.

During this program, we will meet for 8 group meetings where we will learn about various health topics and make new friends.

Choose to Move is NOT a group fitness class or structured personal training sessions.

Rated PG Roller Derby Learn to Skate

Learn roller skating skills and basic roller derby skills in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Starting September 24, the program will run Thursday evenings for 10 weeks. Open to all genders, ages 18 and up. Cost for the whole program is $100, plus applicable insurance fees.

Fall Walking Update for City of Prince George Walkers! 🍂

As the weather starts to cool, we’re transitioning our community walking program for the season!

📍 Masich Place Stadium will remain open for outdoor walking until October 31, weather dependent. Please check the walking schedule before heading out.

Once the outdoor season wraps up, indoor walking will resume at CN Centre on designated days and times. cncentre.ca/visiting-us/walking-program

Please note that indoor walking is only available during the times listed on the schedule. If a day or time is not listed, public walking is not available.
