REGULAR - August 19th | 7pm BUDGET - August 21st | 1pm REGULAR - July 15th | 1pm | Recycling fee removed from utility bills starting July 1 (issued at the end of July) As part of Alberta’s provincially mandated Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program for single-use products, packaging, and paper products (PPP), we’ll no longer be charging the recycling rate on utility bills. You might still see the recycling line on your bill, but the amount will show as $0. Starting July 1, the program will be managed by the Province and contracted to Circular Materials to manage. There are no changes to what you can recycle or where to take it, same service, just a new system behind the scenes. This shift moves recycling costs from residents to producers, in line with the Province’s initiative: https://www.alberta.ca/extended-producer-responsibility Thanks for continuing to sort and set out your recyclables as usual! | | SUMMER WATERING REMINDER The sun is shining, and gardens are calling! Here’s what they’re keeping an eye on this August: 🔹 Unsightly Premises & Water Use Officers will be following up on complaints related to property upkeep and water conservation. Let’s all do our part to keep our neighbourhoods clean and use water wisely during the summer months. 🔹 Aggressive Driving & Speed Enforcement Targeted enforcement continues for speeding and dangerous driving. Whether you're behind the wheel or on foot, safe streets benefit everyone. Expect increased patrols and watch for reminders to slow down, especially in high-traffic areas. 🔹 Back to School Safety It’s almost that time again! With students returning to class soon, officers will be focusing on school zones, crosswalks, and general road safety around schools. Drivers are reminded to be extra cautious during pick-up and drop-off times. These efforts help keep our community safe, clean, and welcoming. Thanks for doing your part! | MUNICIPAL EVENTS CALENDAR View and subscribe to all upcoming Council Meetings, Municipal Events and other community events or meetings on our Municipal website.
