A truly exciting program!
The highly anticipated ISFG 2026 Congress is becoming more and more concrete, as the workshop sessions and plenary speakers have now been announced. Here's a preview of the keynote speakers and main topics for the upcoming edition taking place in Montreal next summer:
- Roland van Oorschot from Australia won the Scientific Excellence Award in Compostella, which is the most prestigious scientific award that the ISFG is offering. He will open the congress with a presentation on Activity level assessment and Transfer, Prevalence, Persistence and Recovery (TPPR) of DNA;
- Chantal Fregeau from Canada will make an Historical perspective on forensic DNA in our host country;
- Leonor Gusmao from Brazil will open the Population Genetics, Ethics and Database session;
- Wojciech Branicki from Poland will entertain us with Phenotyping and Epigenetics.
- Statistics and Interpretation session will be introduced with a presentation from Michael Marciano from the USA;
- And finally, Christi Guerrini, also from the USA, will start the session on Genetic Genealogy.
Add to that, 12 thrilling Workshop sessions (half and full day), you don’t want to miss ISFG in Montréal!
