Help us build new Standards of Practice for BC opticians

Last week, we sent our registrants and stakeholders an important survey about our new Standards of Practice. We need your input! Remember, the deadline to participate is Monday, August 30.

Didn't receive the survey? Contact our team at reception@cobc.ca.

Set up your BC Services Card for online services

The Government of BC has a new mobile app that allows you to use your BC Services Card (or BC Driver's Licence) to access services like Health Gateway, StudentAidBC, BC Business Registry, My Service Canada, and many other programs online.

The app also makes it quick and easy to complete a criminal record check through the Ministry of Public Safety, which you must do every 5 years as a Licensed Optician.

Did you know?

If you leave a job or start a new one, you can edit your business address through your COBC account online. You can even add multiple business addresses and decide which one(s) to show on the public directory.

As the Standards of Practice state, keeping this information current is a matter of public safety.

College of Opticians of BC operates on the traditional, ancestral and unceded Coast Salish territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.

Unsubscribing from this email will revoke your consent to receive email correspondence from us as outlined in Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We will no longer be able to send you important reminders pertaining to your licence, which may affect your registration with the College of Opticians of BC. Please contact us if you have any questions.
