Town Hall Success

Thank you to everyone who came out Tuesday for our first Town Hall in 2026! We had a great turnout of 48 residents and heard so many great ideas.

Results will be compiled and presented to council on July 7, alongside the 2027 Community Priorities Survey. Together, this input will help guide the 2027 budget and inform the Municipality's Strategic Plan.

Thank you for being part of shaping the future of Crowsnest Pass.

To qualify, you (and anyone residing in your home) must be receiving the Federal Guaranteed Income Supplement. Don’t forget, the Seniors Rebate application is required each year as they don’t carry forward.

Seniors' Utility Rate Reduction – Time to Renew!

It's that time of year again! If you're part of the Seniors' Rate Reduction Program, remember to renew your application before April 30 every year, to keep your discount.

July Safety Focus: Roads, Fires & Community Standards

This month is all about summer safety. Here's what you need to know:

Traffic Safety
Impaired driving, cycling, construction zones, and off-highway vehicles are our focus. Plan ahead before driving, give cyclists space, slow down in construction zones, and wear your helmet on any OHV. Learn more: crowsnestpass.com/traffic-safety

Fireworks & Fire
Want to use fireworks? Get a permit first (free for consumer fireworks). Planning a backyard fire? Acceptable fire pits don't need permits, but open air fires do. Firecrackers are banned. Fines for violations: $250–$1,000+.

Community Standards
Grass over 15 cm, junk piles, derelict vehicles, and run-down buildings violate our Community Standards Bylaw. Fines start at $300. See an issue? Report it at crowsnestpass.com/report-a-problem.

Get Details: Visit our Community Peace Officer website page here or call 403-562-8833.

PEAKS TO PINES RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION & CROWSNEST CRUISERS

PEAKS TO PINES RESIDENTS’ ASSOCIATION

A huge thank you goes out to our Casino volunteers for helping us June 10 and 11! We are also grateful for the Crowsnest Pass Golf Club, who sponsored the Steak Night Fundraiser June 20, as part of the Baxy Invitational Tournament, which took place June 19 and 20. More details to follow!

Congratulations to Layton Bailey, recipient of the Peaks to Pines Residents Association Bursary. Jim Bole, Board member and his wife, Mary presented the award of $5,000 to Layton, who is planning to attend NAIT in the fall. Check out our website at www.p2pra.ca. It includes information about volunteer opportunities, our fundraising efforts, an ‘In Memory’ page, a list of donors, and much more!

We are a registered charity and issue tax receipts for donations of $25 or more. Name plates are mounted on a Wall of Thanks in the lobby of Peaks to Pines Seniors Lodge for donations of $100 or more. Logos of donors may be placed on the Crowsnest Cruisers van for donations of $5,000 or more to that service. Donors are also recognized on social media. We accept donations by cheque, cash, or e-transfer to peakstopinesresidents@gmail.com.

CROWSNEST CRUISERS

The Cruisers provides assisted transportation for older adults (50+) and persons with mobility challenges locally throughout the Crowsnest Pass and out of town to Pincher Creek, Fort Macleod, Lethbridge, and Calgary. Call Marie @ 403.583.5598 to book your local ride and Darcy @ 403.583.5587 for out-of-town trips.

Local hours of service are:

  • Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 8:30am – 3:00pm
  • Tuesday/Thursday: 9:00am – 5:00pm

Rider fees are:

Local trips $10 one-way, $20 return, with $1 for each additional stop. Same-community rider fees are NOW $5 one-way, $10 return!

Stamp cards for local trips are available for $25 from the driver or at the General Store at the Peaks to Pines Seniors Lodge…a great gift idea!

Out-of-town return trips: Pincher Creek $35; Fort Macleod $75; Lethbridge $100; and Calgary $200. Subsidies are available for individuals who qualify. If possible, please try to arrange appointments in Pincher Creek on the second Tuesday of the month and in Lethbridge on the third Thursday of the month. Your help with this is appreciated!

The out-of-town trips have doubled since January 2026, so we are in need of volunteer drivers! If you have a Class 1, 2, or 4 driver's license (or are willing to obtain one) and are able to help us once or twice a month, we’d love to hear from you! Honorariums are paid to volunteer drivers.

The Cruisers is also implementing a NEW service model, where volunteer drivers use their own vehicles to take ambulatory riders to out-of-town appointments. If you have a valid Class 5 license and are willing to drive once a month, we would appreciate your help! You will be reimbursed mileage. Call Darcy at 403.583.5587 for more information. More information about the Cruisers is on our website at www.crowsnestcruisers.com

Bellevue Fireman's Park

BOOKING INFORMATION: As of May 2026, The Bellevue Fireman's Park Society is implimenting a new $50 non-refundable booking fee for all park bookings.

This fee is meant to deter groups from booking and cancelling (often last minute) resulting in other groups not having access to that date. It is also meant to deter groups from utilizing the space and "forgetting" to donate for their usage.

In addition to the fee, we ask that user groups donate an amount (not set) based on # of users, duration and event type. If you are unsure and need guidance on donation amount, reach out to the booking coordinator.

This additional cost is not meant to be cost prohibitive for use. If the fees are outside of your group's budget, please reach out to the booking coordinator to discuss. We believe that the park should be a financially barrier-free destination. Keep in mind that the park is managed and maintained with volunteer hours and donated funds by user groups.

NOTE: The Fireman's Park is a municipal park (walk on users) and managed by the Bellevue Fireman's Park Society. As it is a municipal park, walk on traffic is allowed to enter during park hours. We ask that groups who have booked the park and walk on traffic respect each other while utilizing the park.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: The Bellevue Fireman's Park Society (BFPS) is looking for a couple energetic and community-minded volunteers to join our board.

The BFPS is responsible for maintaining the park and managing group bookings. As a group we are hoping to breathe some new life into the park and with that we forsee some planning, fund acquisition, advocacy, and project management. Do you need experience in all/any of these things...not necessarily but could be very helpful.

Hate being on a board but want to help??? Let's chat!

For more info, contact Randi Lynn @ 403.707.8574.
