Dear Bedford South Residents,
First of all, I’d like to thank everyone who came out for our 2nd annual Bedford South End of Summer Fest free community event on Saturday September 9th. It was so great to see you all and thanks for making it bigger and better than ever this year.
I was extremely pleased to hear that the government of Nova Scotia is finally making the high dose influenza vaccination available for free to people 65 years and up. I have been working on this issue with many of you and am glad that those who are most vulnerable will now be able to get the protection they need.
The Provincial Legislature will start sitting again on Thursday October 12th. My colleagues and I have a lot of work to do on behalf of our constituents and for those who are most vulnerable, and we need decisive quick action taken on many pressing issues.
Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of the year when we gather with friends and family. Whether you are able to get out and enjoy some of our beautiful trails or outings throughout our area, it's a day inspired by gratitude, to give thanks for all we have, and celebrate with the people who mean the most in our life.
Some of us are having a difficult time and may be all alone, so remember being grateful means looking out for each other and wrapping our arms around those who need it most. We should all remember to give thanks, not just on Thanksgiving Day, but each and every day.
As Charlie Brown says, "What if, today, we were grateful for everything?"
Happy Thanksgiving everyone, from our home to yours,
Sincerely,
Braedon, Caitie, Beau, and Heidi
