Dance the Night Away on July 18
Free Summer Concerts in the Park

Coquitlam’s Summer Concert Series kicks off Friday, July 18. Join us at the Town Centre Park Community Plaza from 7 to 9 p.m. and enjoy a world-class tribute to Neil Diamond with Bobby Bruce's Nearly Neil and the Solitary Band. Sing your heart out to "Sweet Caroline" and dance the night away!

Bring a blanket or chair, and grab a bite from on-site food vendors: Shameless Buns, Slothfuls and Dream Delight.

Mundy Park Pool Opening Event

Celebrate the opening of the expanded Mundy Park Pool on Friday, July 11, from 1 to 4 p.m. Come join us for family-friendly fun with mini golf, a dunk tank, a climbing wall and much more. Grab a free snack while supplies last and—of course—jump in for a swim!

Getting Riders Back on the Road

On Saturday, July 19, bring your broken bike or scooter to the Bike Repair Café, where our skilled volunteers will help fix it for free. It’s a simple way to give your wheels a new life and support the circular economy. Spare parts are unavailable, so bring any you know you’ll need.

Volunteer to Mark Storm Drains Near You

Have you seen this bright yellow fish? It’s a friendly reminder for those passing by that Coquitlam's storm drains – and anything poured into them – empty directly into local streams where fish and other wildlife live. Volunteer to mark storm drains near you and help remind our community to keep them clear of unwanted chemicals and debris.

Long-Term Strategies for Recreation

Coquitlam has two new documents to guide parks, recreation, culture and facilities planning for decades to come. The Major Facilities Roadmap supports decision making and ensures investment in rec centres, arts venues and other facilities, while the Sports Field Strategy outlines a vision for enhancing and maintaining our sports fields.

We acknowledge with gratitude and respect that the name Coquitlam was derived from the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (HUN-kuh-MEE-num) word kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (kwee-KWET-lum) meaning “Red Fish Up the River”. The City is honoured to be located on the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm traditional and ancestral lands, including those parts that were historically shared with the q̓ic̓əy̓ (kat-zee), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
