Visit the Works Yard May 24

Check out the new Austin Operations Building at our Public Works Open House. Free and family-friendly, this event features more than 15 exhibits to showcase the essential services Public Works provides. Food trucks will be onsite.

Property Tax Notices
Notices Mailed and Available Online

Your property taxes help fund our roads, parks, transit, emergency services and other daily essentials. As there may be a postal strike soon, consider other ways besides mail to pay. Choices include online and in-person payments or using one of the City’s secure drop-boxes. Payments are due July 2.

City-Wide Garage Sale & Giveaway

This weekend, May 24 and 25, look for bargains while you rescue items from the landfill. Using our online breakdown of participating households, you can shop at dozens of local garage sales. Help support waste reduction in our city and advance the circular economy.

Road Upgrades Ready
Celebrate Guildford Way on June 3

Join us at City Hall Plaza to celebrate Guildford Way’s recent transportation upgrades as well as Go by Bike Week. Come take a walking tour, do a free test ride on an e-scooter or e-bike, and learn more about how to navigate the street with the new design.

Annual Facility Closure
Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex

PSLC will be closed June 3-29. This yearly closure is vital for cleaning and other maintenance that cannot be done while the facility is open. The fitness centre will reopen early on June 10, while the main facility will welcome residents back on June 30.

We acknowledge with gratitude and respect that the name Coquitlam was derived from the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (HUN-kuh-MEE-num) word kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (kwee-KWET-lum) meaning “Red Fish Up the River”. The City is honoured to be located on the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm traditional and ancestral lands, including those parts that were historically shared with the q̓ic̓əy̓ (kat-zee), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
