Hi

What's New at IHC

IHC Consolidation - December 1st, 2025

Integrated Health Clinics will be consolidating to one physical location, effective December 1st, 2025.

Various factors have led to this difficult decision. We have had many changes to our doctor coverage in the Fort Langley location. The landscape of healthcare has changed drastically since COVID-19, and many doctors/patients are opting to consult via telephone/virtual for some or all of their healthcare concerns. This has led to a decrease in the need for brick-and-mortar spaces in healthcare.

Dr. Parmar's are also at a stage of their lives and careers where they no longer want to manage two clinics. We know all our patients will understand, and most of you will continue to receive your best-in-class naturopathic and integrative care at IHC.

Our staff and doctors are here to help you with this transition, so don’t hesitate to reach out!

Sincerely,

Doctors Karen and Gurdev Parmar,
Owners/ Co-founders of Integrated Health Clinic

Dr. Jennifer Kerr, ND, is a licensed naturopathic doctor who completed her medical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, located on the Boucher Campus. Throughout her education, she regularly shadowed conventional medical doctors, gaining valuable insight into the broader healthcare system and identifying key areas where naturopathic medicine can bridge existing gaps. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Neuropsychology from Acadia University.

Dr. Kerr brings a unique and balanced approach to patient care by integrating evidence-based science with traditional healing practices. She creates personalized treatment plans that are both effective and sustainable. Her patients often express feeling deeply seen, heard, and empowered throughout their health journey.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Kerr is a dedicated educator. She teaches future naturopathic doctors in subjects including anatomy, orthopedic medicine, and clinical skills. Her passion for teaching shines through in her practice, where she empowers patients with the knowledge they need to understand their conditions and make informed decisions about their care.

Dr. Kerr continues to deepen her education, with ongoing studies in immunology and chronic infections.

From the Cancer Care Center

Integrated Health Clinic Research Department
It has been a very busy and exciting month for the CCC and our ongoing research efforts!

First, to qualify for many research grants and opportunities, the IHC Research Department is now a registered non-profit called The PRISM Foundation
(Progressive Research in Integrative Scientific Medicine).

Mission Statement
The PRISM Foundation is dedicated to advancing rigorous, evidence-based research on integrative and naturopathic approaches to health. Our mission is to illuminate therapies and practices that are widely used yet often underfunded — including plant medicines, nutraceuticals, hyperthermia, and various other cutting-edge therapies in use today.

About PRISM
Most medical research funding today flows to pharmaceuticals and large hospital systems. Yet millions of people worldwide turn to integrative approaches to support their health. These therapies are often left in the shadows, lacking the robust evidence required to guide patients, families, and clinicians. PRISM was founded to change that. Through grants, partnerships, and rigorous peer-reviewed studies, the PRISM Foundation shines light on overlooked therapies, ensuring they are studied with the same seriousness and credibility as conventional medicine.

✨ Our glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) Paper has been published! ✨

Background:
Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is an aggressive brain tumor with limited treatment options and a poor prognosis. Emerging evidence suggests that integrative oncology approaches may provide survival
benefits when combined with conventional treatments. This study examines whether an integrative oncology treatment plan incorporating modulated electro-hyperthermia (mEHT) improves survival in GBM patients.

Vitamin D Intramuscular Injections 💉

As naturopathic doctors, we recognize that maintaining optimal vitamin D levels is essential to support immune resilience—particularly through the darker months ahead when sun exposure is limited.

Vitamin D injections offer a highly effective way to quickly and reliably restore and sustain healthy levels, bypassing absorption issues that can occur with oral supplementation.

This nutrient plays a critical role in modulating immune function, helping to reduce the frequency and severity of colds and flus, while also supporting mood, energy, and bone health.

By providing a consistent and bioavailable source of vitamin D during winter, Injectable therapy helps patients feel stronger, more energetic, and better protected against seasonal illnesses.

Featured Service

This month, instead of featuring a specific service, we’d like to remind you that your extended health coverage may be nearing the end of its annual term. For most, that means that if you don’t use what you have annually, it will not roll over to 2026, and you will lose that amount of extended health coverage you’re entitled to per annum.

This may be the time you look at incorporating IV nutrient therapy for immune system optimization before the winter months and bugs set in.

Maybe you’re curious about food allergies or your DNA microbiome? What’s your plan for a healthy fall and winter, and how can you optimize the extended health coverage that you have? Many people have coverage for most of our naturopathic testing and treatment services. Do you know what you have left? Now’s the time to investigate and maximize your annual coverage for your health priorities.

Wondering what a Buddha bowl is🤔

Rice or quinoa, topped with whatever is in your fridge. We love chicken, grated carrots, cabbage, snap peas, diced peppers, cilantro, and cucumber!

Ingredients:

  • 3 thin slices of ginger- cut across the grain, about the size of a quarter.
  • 1 fat clove of garlic
  • ¼ cup peanut butter ( or sub almond butter)
  • ¼ cup fresh orange juice ( roughly ½ an orange)
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice ( 1 lime)
