Dear audience,
The musicians, the small team of I Musici de Montréal and I would like to tell you how much we enjoyed playing all the concerts of this 2021-2022 season, which is coming to a close. What a journey! From Kleztory to the Four Seasons, the Maiden and the Death, and the Transfigured Night⊠with the help of all our prestigious guests (Stéphane Tétreault, Charles Richard-Hamelin, Les Violons du Roy, Anne Dorval, etc.) and, of course, our favorite composers (Bach, HÀndel, Vivaldi, Haydn, Schubert, Schönberg, Shostakovitch, etc.).
We end our first season together during which, as I had promised you, we put forward our first vocation, and deepened the real repertoire of the ensemble. In addition, we have significantly enhanced our mission of education and cultural mediation.
The next season promises to be just as exciting and we look forward to unveiling the detailed program at the end of August. You will not be disappointed: you will find certain assets (for example, Stéphane Tétreault remains our artist in residence I Musici de Montréal) and your favorite composers (Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Shostakovitch, for example), but we also have many surprises for you!
As you know, after the two years we have been through, the financial situation of cultural organizations is particularly precarious. I want to take this opportunity, on my behalf and on behalf of the musicians as well as the entire team, to ask you to give generously to I Musici de Montréal. Every donation, big and small, is important because it will help us prepare you for ever more magical seasons!
Thank you so much,
Jean-François Rivest
