The Government of Saskatchewan has developed a new Continuing Care Strategy. The goal of the strategy is to support more residents to live independently at home and in their communities for longer. Once community-based supports can no longer meet their needs, high quality and safe options continue to be available.

The Allied Health Provincial Community of Practice SharePoint sites have been updated and are now available through the Commuity of Practice - Clinical Resources intranet page. Previous links and content from the former sites will no longer be accessible.

Take a few minutes to check them out and:

Update your contact information under appropriate profession.
Upload evidence-based resources to share with colleagues across the province.
Explore the site and stay informed about professional practice updates and resources.

Staff Safety Talk - Contact stress injury prevention

Not all workplace injuries happen suddenly. Contact stress injuries develop when repeated pressure from hard surfaces or equipment compresses muscles, nerves, and soft tissues over time. Whether it's resting your wrists on the edge of a desk while typing or leaning your forearms against a bed rail during patient care, repeated pressure can lead to discomfort, numbness, weakness, and long-term injury if left unaddressed.

Falls are often caused by environmental hazards that are easy to overlook, but also easy to fix. Many environmental hazards can be found in and around our facilities and patient’s homes. Infection Prevention and Control Annual Review 2026 – Mandatory training

All Saskatchewan Health Authority employees must complete the Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Annual Review in MyConnection by December 31, 2026. This module highlights the everyday IPAC practices that help protect our patients, residents, clients—and each other.

As of the end of June 2026, 30 per cent of the SHA’s active employees have completed the review. If you haven’t yet, now is a great time to complete this training.

Log into MyConnection > My Learning > Access MyLearning > click on “click here to search all modules” > type “infection” into the search bar

Leaders can monitor team progress through MyConnection. A step-by-step work standard is available to support access to completion reports.
