This week’s educator resources, "Understanding Emotions," offer insights into the role of emotions. From social-emotional learning strategies to the science behind emotions and the power of empathy, these resources help build understanding and connection for improved well-being.

Educator Resources:

  1. Provided by School Mental Health Ontario, the Social-Emotional Learning Video Series was created with students, for students, to help understand social-emotional learning and discover how to further develop skills in this area.

  2. Curated by the National Geographic, The Science of Emotions is a behind-the-scenes view of Inside Out 2 that explores how emotions impact thoughts, behaviours, and physical health, explaining the evolutionary purpose of emotions and how they influence decision-making and social connections.

  3. Produced by RSA, Brené Brown on Empathy clarifies how empathy can be a key way to cultivate connection, helping to ease someone's pain and suffering.

For those unfamiliar with Myles Ahead, we are a national charity dedicated to advancing child and youth mental health. Thank you for joining us on this journey.
