Text messages and phone calls claiming to be from eHealth Saskatchewan indicate Saskatchewan health cards are expired, outdated or require immediate replacement. People are asked to click a link to update their information and may be asked to pay a fee or provide personal information to maintain access to health care services, update their records, or renew their health card. There is no charge for a Saskatchewan health card. Any request for payment will indicate it is a scam. Do not click on any links or give out credit card information if you receive one of these texts or phone calls. 🌐 View full release | Strengthening Safe Reporting for SHA team members The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is introducing a provincial Anonymous Reporting Policy, reinforcing its commitment to safe care environments, respectful workplaces, and accountability. This multi-channel, province-wide approach gives team members a consistent way to raise serious concerns such as fraud, theft, or conflict of interest for investigation, replacing pre-existing health region policies.
For those who may not feel comfortable approaching their supervisor, manager, or physician leader, you can now call or submit a report online anonymously. All concerns, anonymous or otherwise, are reviewed and investigated in a timely, confidential manner, with a focus on evidence, fairness, and due process. SHA does not tolerate reprisal against team members for reporting concerns in good faith.
We share responsibility for speaking up when we witness or experience wrongdoing. By strengthening how concerns are raised and addressed, we support a culture of safety, team well-being, and the integrity of our health system.

A Code Orange is activated when an incident creates a surge of patients that requires a coordinated hospital response. While the Emergency Department is the focal point of the response, a Code Orange often impacts many areas across the organization. This month, take a few minutes to review your department's Code Orange procedures and discuss your team’s role during a Code Orange incident.
