Monitoring Health Impacts of Climate Change

On April 26, 2018, the BCCDC/ NCCEH Environmental Health Seminar Series will host Dr. Paul Belanger and Dr. Nancy VanStone of KFL&A Public Health to talk about the general needs for a climate change surveillance system to assess health impacts at the local, regional and national levels.  They will share some of their work from Ontario using the Public Health Information Management System (PHIMS) and the Acute Care Enhanced Surveillance (ACES) system.  They will also discuss some of the work they have done with Health Canada towards the development of a national surveillance system.
