Intended clientele for RAC-VT

Anyone aged 16 and over who has developed skills related to a vocational training program can be officially recognized. In the following video, see some examples of people who could benefit from a RAC process.

Did you know that...

No minimum educational level is required to apply for recognition of acquired competencies in vocational training.

In fact, the only prerequisite is that of having already developed skills related to the targeted program of study.

Stakeholders in the recognition of prior learning and skills mobilized to innovate

Under the theme "InteRACtions: Collaborating to Innovate," more than 100 people gathered in Quebec City to participate in the Rendez-vous sur la reconnaissance des acquis et des compétences en formation professionnelle, which was held on October 2 and 3, 2025. The event, organized by the RAC-VT centers of expertise (CERAC), aimed to foster exchange and promote innovative practices.

The Importance of Support and Collaboration

A panel composed of RAC content specialists first discussed three main themes: supporting individuals, collaborating with businesses, and challenges faced. The discussions highlighted the importance of the relationship between RAC-VT stakeholders. According to Claudine Beaulieu, Director of the CERAC at CSS du Fleuve-et-des-Lacs, "RAC is a team effort, based on collaboration and innovation."

Innovation as a Driver of Development

Four blocks of interactive workshop sessions then provided an opportunity to share inspiring promotional practices, successful reception and support strategies for emerging clienteles, innovative RAC management solutions, research results, and successful collaborations to develop RAC-VT. According to Alexandre Poulin, Coordinator of the CERAC at the CSS de la Beauce-Etchemin, "without innovation, no development can be achieved." Closing the event, renowned speaker Pierre Lavoie highlighted the importance of everyone's commitment to meeting the challenges we face..
