Sam George Jr: Truth Comes Before Reconciliation

2023 Indigenous Storyteller in Residence Les George will be joined by his brother Sam to teach about Indian Residential Schools and the truth and learning that must come before reconciliation.

Sam George Jr is the first great grandson to Chief Dan and Amy George, first grandson to Les and Rose Marie Thomas, first Son to Sam Sr and late Wanda.

Pharmacy Assistant with Practicum training program Sprott Shaw college

Pharmacy assistants help licensed Pharmacists provide medication and other health care products to patients.Assistants usually perform routine tasks to help prepare prescribed medication, such as counting tablets and labelling bottles. They also perform administrative duties, such as answering phones, stocking shelves, and operating cash registers. Assistants refer any questions regarding prescriptions, drug information, or health matters to a pharmacist.

Agricultural Workforce Transition – Greenhouse Technician PBLMT

Funded by the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia, this program provides 22 weeks of training, including 16 weeks of occupational skills training, 4 weeks of practicum with local employers, and 2 weeks of follow-up/employment support. Jobs in the Greenhouse sector are an in-demand occupation. Graduates of the program can work in nurseries, on farms, in greenhouses, at garden centers, and in landscaping in positions such as Nursery Worker, IPM Assistant, Harvester, and Grower’s Assistant.
