One Mom's Story

"It is sometimes hard for people to understand the reality of being a parent and having no options. My past is checkered with addiction, abuse and mental illness. Now, after a lot of hard work and support from the Crisis Nursery, I am a proud parent to a two-year-old boy.

My son stays at the Nursery when I have an appointment or am overwhelmed and with the help of a Family Coach, I am working though the Nurturing Parenting program. The Crisis Nursery program has given me options that have been life changing for me and my son."

Thank you

It has been a busy Spring at the Children's Cottage Society. It is because of community support that through our various programs families get the help they need and children are safe, cared for, and have fun.

Thank you to every individual, organization, church, service club and donor who has supported children and their families through donations of cash or items, holding events, or even just following us on social media.

Partnering with the community

We believe that it takes a village to raise a child and that's why we create partnerships with the community agencies and organizations. Here are just a few upcoming community partner initiatives.

Wee Wild Ones Monster March

Each year, Wee Wild Ones school hosts a Monster March to raise funds to support the Children’s Cottage Society. Children and families
are encouraged to dress up like monsters and join the March around St. Patrick's Island and enjoy a special performance by Lightning Ant Music School. The March takes place on June 16th, starting at 10am. For more info or to register, click on the link.

Thank you to Clays for the Cottage Sponsors

This June, the Children's Cottage Society will host its 3rd annual Clays for the Cottage event. The event wouldn't be possible without the generous support from our sponsors and community partners. Thank you for all that you do to support children and their families!
