Resources from the GNHiAP Seminar

The Global Network for Health in All Policies (GNHiAP) partnered with Tampere University to offer a seminar entitled Towards Sustainable Societies – Health in All Policies and Social Determinants of Health as Building Blocks, held in September 2023, in Finland.

The seminar brought together practitioners and researchers to reflect on Health in All Policies (HiAP) and on the social and commercial determinants affecting health and equity. It addressed questions on how to enable HiAP approaches to advocate for equity and social policies to ensure sustainability and broader uptake of HiAP to address the social determinants of health. The NCCHPP is proud to have contributed to this event as the Secretariat for the GNHIAP, a mandate it has held since 2020. The following resources from the seminar are now available:

Call to Participate in a Study

  • What does Canada's public health workforce need to learn about digital technologies?

The schools of public health at the Universities of British Columbia, Victoria and Toronto have partnered to conduct a study focused on understanding which digital competencies may be critical for public health practice in Canada.

Participate in this study though a virtual focus group discussion to share your views and experiences with integrating digital technologies into public health functions within your organization, and on the competencies that helped or could help the process.

The duration will be from 60 to 90 minutes, and participants will receive an honorarium of $50.
