UBC Farm Seed Funding for Research Competition 2020

The Centre for Sustainable Food Systems (CSFS) UBC Farm Seed Funding for Research (UBC Farm SFR) provides short-term support (up to $6,000/one year) for the development of innovative research at the UBC Farm that will eventually form the basis of a larger research proposal linked to the CSFS (CSFS as the designated Research Centre) and funded independently. This research competition aims to support early-stage research and enable preliminary data gathering on any theme.

Harvard Environmental Fellows Program

Harvard Environmental Fellows work for two years, supervised by a faculty host in any part of the University. Fellows conduct research in various disciplines of environmental scholarship. They convene frequently in a series of dinners and meetings with faculty to foster intellectual and social connections across disciplines and departments.

The fellowships include a salary of $70,000 per year, employee health insurance and other benefits, and a $2,500 per year allowance for travel and other professional expenses.

The Environmental Fellows Program is open to anyone with a doctorate or comparable terminal degree awarded between May 2016 and August 2020.
