2026 Municipal Election

Tomorrow (Saturday) is general election day 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.! Squamish voters will elect one Mayor, six Councillors, and two School Trustees – and we're counting down the hours left to vote!

The numbers show that as our community has grown, voter turnout has gone down.

But, as of today, 15.21% of registered voters have cast an advance ballot compared to the 14.46% who cast a ballot at the end of advance voting in the 2022 election.

For those who haven't made it to the polls yet, tomorrow is the day! Cast your vote for Squamish's next four years and let's beat 2022's overall turnout of 39.64%

Remember, your vote shapes Squamish's future.

See you at the polling station tomorrow!

The District of Squamish Council will hold a final meeting on Tuesday, October 20 at Municipal Hall.

Special Business Meeting
Tuesday, October 20 at 6 p.m.

Wildlife Wednesday – Recap

Do you have a pumpkin on your doorstep?

Please keep pumpkins inside and consider showcasing in a front window with a battery-operated tea light.

Let's prevent bears from trick-or-treating in our neighbourhoods by ensuring pumpkins are out of paw's reach and keeping our garbage and organics totes inside, or locked at all times except on collection day.

Learn how we can help the bears get through fall safely at squamish.ca/wildlife.
