Ongoing and upcoming works

Sidewalk preparation

The sidewalks between 204 Street and Salt Lane are being levelled and strengthened in preparation for the installation of concrete forms.

Fun Fact: The sidewalks are being widened and finished with a concrete surface to make walking or rolling easier.

Sidewalk forming

Following sidewalk preparation, wooden forms will be installed to support the pouring of the new concrete sidewalks.

Fun Fact: Wooden forms are placed along the edges of the planned sidewalk to help define the sidewalk shape, width, and height. These forms act like a mould for the wet concrete to harden in.

Installation of paving stones

New decorative paving stones are being installed in the crosswalk areas between Salt Lane and 206 Street.

Fun Fact: New street furniture, plants, and decorative paving surfaces will be installed beside the One-Way crosswalks to help create a more welcoming area for people to gather.
