CORRECTION NOTICE: The previous of this bulletin indicated that PCR testing was available at community COVID, Cold, & Flu care clinics. HPEPH has been advised that while these clinics  provide general assessment, they are NOT offering PCR testing.

Lifelabs combined COVID-19, Flu A, Flu B, and RSV Testing DISCONTINUED

LifeLabs has discontinued PCR testing for the combined detection of COVID-19, Flu A, Flu B, and RSV from our community test menu, as per direction from the Ontario Ministry of Health.

At this time, LifeLabs can only perform this testing on samples collected by Retirement Homes & Long-Term Care Homes as outlined by the ministry’s guidelines.

Health care providers with patients requiring this combined test will need to refer their patients to the nearest hospital. COVID PCR testing continues to be available at local COVID-19 Assessment Centres. for eligible individuals as per Ministry criteria.

General assessment without PCR testing is available at the HPE COVID, Cold and Flu Care Clinics located in Belleville and Tweed.
