| Safety capsule: Engine failure on takeoff - would you know what to do? | Lobster dinner - Thank you to our partners | Thank you to our partners and all the participants in our Lobster all you can eat fundraising dinner. More than 300 people gathered at this flagship event of Aviateurs.Québec. A dinner where pleasure, conviviality and good food predominated throughout the evening.  Thanks to the generosity of our partners and participants at this benefit event, we collected more than $21,000 during this evening. The benefits of this evening will allow Aviateurs.Québec to enhance its actions in promoting air safety and general aviation. We thank you for your trust, as does Transport Canada, which recently awarded us the 2023 Aviation Safety Award.

Photo: Nathalie Fortin's page on LinkedIn, | Flight of the Phoenix and the Faucheurs de marguerites team up with the Dixville Foundation | This year, the airmen of the Les Faucheurs de marguerites group will bring unforgettable moments to people living with an intellectual disability (ID) or an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). They will have the chance to make a foray into the world of aviation. The organizers are also setting up a donation campaign to support the Dixville Foundation. Magical moments The airmen will present, on June 7, a first private event that will welcome more than 165 people at the Sherbrooke Airport. 83 children and adults living with an ID or an ASD will have the chance to experience magical moments in the company of airmen. 40 employees of the health network, the host families of these people as well as numerous volunteers will be brought together for this day. The airport apron was ready this morning to receive guests.

It's awesome! As a reminder, during a visit to the Lévis/Pintendre sector If the weather is good and you are flying, most likely we are in the sky too! If you are over 1,500', no worries! You should already be in contact with the Quebec Terminal (124.00 / 127.85) and our friends the controllers will notify you of our activities. If you are flying below 1,500', you absolutely must contact the local frequency 123.20, 5 NM before (as indicated in the CFS for CPT9) so that we can inform you! Our call signs: - ATMOSPHAIR 1

Do you often fly alone? So why not offer your empty seat to a young pilot who will be able to gain additional experience in addition to his training or to another experienced pilot? It is important to ensure the next generation and this program aims to make itself known to young people. Also, do you feel out of your comfort zone for certain types of flights? You've never flown to the United States, you've never been to Toronto; it's been a long time since you've flown in a remote area; so, why not ask for an accompaniment using this application? Or quite simply for the pleasure of being accompanied or for the pleasure of flying on a different type of plane than yours. The majority of pilots fly alone so why not share your empty seat. In addition, this application will allow pilots to meet for small impromptu meetings. For example, one beautiful Saturday morning you decide to go to lunch at an airport, you just have to use this application to make an appointment with other interested pilots. The advantage of Facebook is that it is an instant means of communication… if you have subscribed to alerts of course. The terms of the program are very simple: - You subscribe to the Facebook group since it is a private group reserved for those who want to drive. - You subscribe to alerts in order to be automatically informed of offers and requests. - When you want to offer a seat, you just have to add an event. - The pilot-in-command must have a valid license from Transport Canada, that his plane complies with the regulations (certificate of airworthiness, insurance) and that the flight is made in accordance with section 401.28 of the Canadian Aviation Regulations .
