Organized outdoor sports not permitted

The recent provincial announcement of new restrictions will have an impact on Okotoks’ outdoor recreational activities.

All organized outdoor sports are now prohibited, except with members from the same household or two close contacts for those who live alone. This has required the Town to cancel all bookings for sports organizations on Town sports fields.

Sandpaper Crayon Art to Throw Pillow

Saturday, May 15 & 29 | 10 - 11 AM

ONLINE

In part one of this online class with local artist Joyce Brown, you’ll create art for a throw pillow cover with wax crayons and sandpaper. You’ll learn how to use sandpaper as your canvas as you colour a picture with wax crayons, then transfer the picture to the fabric. During the second class, we will make your unique sandpaper art into a fabric throw pillow cover.

Creating crayon art is perfect for all ages. Making a throw pillow is a simple sewing project appropriate for all who can work a sewing machine or hand stitch it with a needle and thread.

This class is made possible with the support of the Okotoks Arts Council.

A limited amount of supply kits are available for purchase ($20+GST). Please contact the Okotoks Art Gallery (403-938-3204).
