Skunk-what? Skunkworks: Hacking Pain

“We need to think differently!” “We need to step outside the box!” “We need creative solutions!”

Enter Skunkworks. It’s an approach to problem-solving that assembles multidisciplinary teams and empowers them with mentorship and tools to tackle big challenges and prototype solutions. PVN patient partners helped make sure the event had patients, families and caregivers at its core. Plus, check out the upcoming Skunkworks event on September 22!

Join the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council, which administers our network, and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society BC Chapter for a free session where patient partners and project leaders will speak firsthand about how the principles of patient engagement have been applied to health care projects across the province.

International “What Matters to You?” Day is celebrated on June 9 but we’re keeping the momentum going! Providence Health Care debuted a new three-dimensional project in a renal unit that asks patients, “What matters to you?”

The Kootenay Boundary Patient Advisory Committee & Community has been providing input on health care in the Kootenay Boundary region since 2019. They wanted to grow their membership to better represent what people need from their health care system.
