Fighting cancer with hope, raising funds for breast health, and a big thank you!

How a family gathers in their battle against lung cancer

For over 50 years, Dave Morell has been a pillar in the community - perhaps most recognized as the voice of sports radio broadcasting for Fredericton’s Red Wings hockey team.

His life drastically changed however when he received a stage four lung cancer diagnosis . Today, Dave and his family are sharing their touching story of courage, survival and teamwork in their candid struggle against losing hope and finding one other.

The foundation, in partnership with Dave Morell himself, are selling limited-quantities of his book Hit the Switch - A Family’s Journey Through Cancer.

Supporting better breast health with digital mammograms

Fredericton, you made a difference!

Your $62,078 in donations during the 8th annual Radiothon went towards our $620,000 goal for a new digital mammography machine at the DECRH!

We couldn't be more proud of this community!

The Chalmers Foundation continues to raise funds for a new 3D digital mammography machine for Horizon's Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Your help to support breast cancer screening is needed.

Why #MammogramsMatter

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, while men account for 1% of all diagnoses. Thankfully, a nearly 100% survival rate of stage 1 breast cancer is due to mammogram machines.

At The Chalmers Foundation, our year-long committment to raising $620,000 for a new 3D Digital mammography machine is to ensure that we can continue to support the ones you love.
