En-tête Aéro Montréal

Aéro Montréal's mission is to mobilize stakeholders in Quebec's aerospace ecosystem to support its global reach, innovation capacity and growth.

Message from CEO

Guillemets

Dear members, dear partners,

I am delighted to invite you to the 7th edition of the Global Supply Chain Summit to be held on April 4, 2023 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.

Mark your calendars! Aéro Montréal will be bringing together all the players in the sector to discuss the challenges of the supply chain. More connected, more intelligent or more sustainable, we will see how the heart of our business is adapting to the challenges of today.

The four main themes of the day will reflect different aspects of the changes underway. We will discuss new technologies, new ways of working together and the creation of an ultra-connected workplace. We will also talk about the investments required to develop these more connected supply chains.

Special thanks to our partners who are helping us organize this event: BCI Aerospace, Aéromart Montréal, the Fonds de solidarité FTQ and Norton Rose Fulbright.

This is an event not to be missed, a great opportunity to stay informed about the changes taking place as well as to connect with your network of contacts. I look forward to seeing you on April 4th!

MÉLANIE LUSSIER, CEO, Aéro Montréal

No-poaching agreement: Is your business at risk?

In June 2022, the federal legislator made significant changes to the Competition Act (the "Act") that will significantly impact employers in both provincial and federal jurisdictions. In particular, certain amendments, which will come into force on June 23, 2023, prohibit agreements between employers to:

  • fix, maintain, decrease or control wages, salaries, or any terms and conditions of employment; or
  • not solicit or hire employees of another employer (prohibition of "no-poaching agreements").

As of June 23, 2023, employers can no longer enter into no-poaching agreements or continue to apply those previously entered into, on pain of civil and criminal liability.
