As with any de-icing system, the current external weather conditions will always
be an important factor influencing the open water area! In milder winters, our
Bubble Tubing® de-icing systems work at their best, creating wide openings
and keeping large areas of water ice-free.

When the temperature drops suddenly, ice may partially cover the open water
area. In these cases, the system remains effective by fragilizing and preventing
ice accumulation underneath the surface of the water. What is important to note
is that the size of the ice-free area will vary naturally depending on the weather!
