Singing!

Singing is an incredibly important way to help teach your children language skills like rhyme, rhythm, and letter sounds. Singing expands their vocabulary and can also help them learn listening skills.

Even if you feel uncomfortable or self-conscious while singing, your child loves you and will love your singing voice too. Embrace your singing voice and have fun!

Need help learning great children’s songs to sing to your child? Try borrowing a children’s CD from our collection or attending one of our early literacy programs.
