Bill 61

“Any government that aims to increase Quebec’s food autonomy cannot stand in the way of the CPTAQ fulfilling its role in assessing all projects that may impact farmland and farming activities,” writes Marcel Groleau in his editorial this week. “The CPTAQ’s expertise needs to be respected, and if analysis procedures need to be sped along as a result of the urgency of certain projects, the government must first equip the CPTAQ with the required human and technical resources.”

Every week, the Le Trait d’Union newsletter takes stock of topics and issues of interest to the UPA across the province.
