Road to Okotoks: Morneau Cup - Thank You Okotoks Businesses!

Thank you to everyone who supported the Road to Okotoks. The Visitor Information Booth welcomed 167 visitors and helped connect guests with local dining, shopping, attractions and experiences.

Your support helped showcase the best of Okotoks and created a memorable experience for visitors while strengthening local tourism and economic activity.

Downtown Construction Progress Update

The bottom layer of asphalt is in place along North Railway St and paving completed through Alberta Ave and Daggett St.

Work is shifting to surface improvements, including new sidewalks, parking areas and property connections.

Upcoming Closure on Riverside Drive for Construction

Sewer, road and parking upgrades underway on Riverside Drive  Aug. 19 through late October.

Road closures in effect :

  • Riverside Dr between Veterans Way and the United Church until late October.
  • Veterans Way/Riverside Drive intersection  Aug. 19 to 28).
  • Southbound Veterans Way on Aug. 21.

Access to businesses, the Okotoks Public Library, the Okotoks United Church and pedestrian routes will be maintained throughout construction.

Grand Opening: Okotoks Toyota

Congratulations to Okotoks Toyota, located at 10 Wedderburn Drive, on officially opening their new doors on June 22!  After nearly 30 years of proudly serving Southern Alberta as High River Toyota, we are excited to welcome the team to Okotoks! The grand opening celebration is planned for Monday, August 24.

BMX Provincials Coming  to Okotoks!

The Okotoks BMX Club, 1125 North Railway St, hosts the Alberta BMX Provincial Finals & Championships on September 12 & 13, welcoming riders and families from across the province for an exciting weekend of racing. The event is a great opportunity to showcase our community and Okotoks businesses. Special thanks to the Okotoks BMX Club and its dedicated volunteers.
