Slowdown Downtown Update!

You may have noticed District of Squamish crews updating traffic signage around Downtown Squamish this week.

As a result of community feedback and a review led by the District's Transportation team, the following changes have been implemented to the Downtown Speed Reduction Plan:

  • Buckley Avenue and Carson Place have returned to being a school zone (30 km/h, 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on school days).
  • Wilson Crescent remains 30km/h, 24 hrs/day.
  • Installation of additional signage to reinforce speed limit.

These changes will help to continue making our streets safer for everyone.
