10-Year Financial Plan Available Online for Public Review

Given the many competing priorities for the municipal budget, we invite you to explore what is proposed and provide your input. This will assist Council as upcoming financial decisions are made.

Budget discussions for the 2026-35 Financial Plan are as follows:

  • Dec 2 – Council will review Utility Fees and Charges for Water, Wastewater and Solid Waste Utilities.
  • Dec 9 – Council will review all aspects of the budget in the 'Tying it all Together' meeting prior to the public information night.
  • Dec 10 – The public is invited to our annual Budget Information Night from 6-8 p.m. This year’s event will be held at the Howe Sound Inn, and will include a facilitated discussion with Council and the public.

Weigh in and tell us what you would prioritize, and what you would de-prioritize. Municipal budgets must be balanced and can’t run a deficit. Increases to one area of the budget must therefore be balanced with either new revenue streams, or decreased spending in another area.

Visit letstalksquamish.ca/budget-2026 to explore our online budget tool, find event dates and Council links, and ways to provide input.

When: December 3, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: St. Joseph's Church

Your input will help shape the next steps in planning more vibrant neighbourhoods in Squamish. Can't make it? Share your thoughts through an online survey on Let's Talk Squamish.

Winter Parking Restrictions

Starting December 1, 2025, parking on select streets in Squamish is restricted to one side only until March 1, 2026. This ensures snow plows and emergency vehicles can safely navigate during winter conditions.

District of Squamish Bylaw Enforcement Officers will focus on education and provide warnings to anyone parking in a restricted area. However, vehicles parking on the No Parking side of the street may be ticketed and towed at any time to ensure community safety. The fine for impeding snow removal is $250.

For a list of affected streets and more details, visit squamish.ca/winter-parking.

Repair Café - Tomorrow!

A Repair Café event is designed for the community to meet and bring their broken possessions to be fixed by a group of local volunteers. It’s about repairing together, learning from each other, and promoting a more sustainable approach to our belongings. Plus, it’s free of charge!

When: Saturday, November 29, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Where: The 55 Activity Centre

Please ensure that the clothes you bring are clean. Our sewing team is always in high demand, so we kindly ask that you limit yourself to three textile or clothing items. Please be reminded that you are expected to stay while your item is being repaired.
