New campus site tour, part two: the hospital

Welcome to part two in our series of visual site tours of construction at The Ottawa Hospital’s new campus!

While crews continue building the parking garage, there’s much more work currently taking place onsite – often unnoticed from the streets surrounding the new campus. At ground level and below, crews are busy preparing the site of the hospital for utilities and services before construction begins.

Tour the site with us.

Project update

Work to connect the two sides of the parking garage above the LRT track continues with some overnight work required to complete this phase of construction. Teams working overnight will make every effort to limit noise.

Crews are busy at ground level on the location where the hospital will be built preparing the site for utilities and services, including the installation of underground piping and manholes for sanitary and stormwater services, as well as watermain work around the entire site. There is excavation in this area as well and crews will be installing concrete-encased hydro duct banks as part of the underground electrical infrastructure.
