This meeting is an essential forum for ensuring the resilience of the territories—a fundamental condition for maintaining biodiversity. Discussions focused on the conservation of natural environments in the Green Mountains region, recognized worldwide as a critical ecological link within the Appalachians. Guest speakers presented their approaches, results, and lessons learned from their experiences, in a context where ecological connectivity and the protection of the natural network are becoming increasingly important in municipal policy. Ms. Louise Morin, municipal councillor for the Town of Brome Lake, opened the day with a speech announcing a new partnership between the Town of Brome Lake and the Appalachian Corridor to develop a municipal natural environment conservation plan. This two-year project will identify natural areas of high ecological value and target actions to protect them. | Don't Mow in May... for the Bees!
