The NSERC Discovery Grant Program is a competitive grant program supporting basic discovery research at Canadian universities in the natural sciences and engineering.

Congratulations to Dr. Sally Otto for being elected to the Fellowship of the United Kingdom's Royal Society!

 

Dr. Sally Otto—a theoretical biologist focused on fundamental questions of population genetics and evolution—has been elected to the Fellowship of the United Kingdom’s Royal Society. She joins 12 other UBC Science fellows elected to the society over the past decades.

A new survey by University of British Columbia researchers suggests that many of the bees buzzing around the Lower Mainland are not native species.
