Announcing a new learning opportunity from IRES, the UBC Sustainability Hub and Campus & Community Planning: the UBC Micro-certificate in Climate Action Planning: Foundations, Finance and Implementation.

This course is for local policy makers, planners, industry players and anyone interested in learning the foundation and practicalities of climate action planning—the goal of the program is to build capacity in different sectors to advance climate action. A background in climate change is not required!

From June 18th onwards, you are invited to a Mekong community-based art exhibition, which honours the perseverance of life amid ecological destruction and cultural erasure. The exhibit is located at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum.

The exhibit is organized by IRES graduate student Rapichan (Ta) Phurisamban!

Climate Justice Research Assitant with Naomi Klein

Centre for Climate Justice Co-Director Naomi Klein is seeking a current UBC Vancouver graduate student to support with various writing and teaching projects by conducting primary investigative research, fact checking, and news synthesis, as well as producing longer term, in-depth research reports and literature reviews.
