The Westwinds Seniors Hub, located within the new Westwinds Seniors Living Building, opens to the public on Tuesday, September 6 with programs set to begin Monday, September 12. The facility is located at 38275 Third Avenue, directly behind the Chieftain Centre, with 18 visitor parking stalls, two accessible parking stalls and two drop-off parking stalls for patrons of the programming space, with additional street parking and transit stops nearby. The Panel reviews and provides advice regarding development permit applications and any other matter referred for review by Council. Learn more | Industrial Way Storm Interceptor Project Upgrades to the stormwater system at the intersection of Industrial Way and Highway 99 are getting underway and will continue through early fall. Work includes the installation of an oil grit separator (OGS). Impacts: All traffic from Industrial Way onto Highway 99 will be detoured onto Discovery Way and Commercial Way. Traffic coming off Highway 99 onto Industrial Way will be reduced to one lane. Best efforts will be made to reopen this area as quickly as possible. Discovery Trail is expected to be closed near Industrial Way for four weeks through September 26. A detour route and signage will be in place for the Discovery Trail, near the work site.
