Work includes new watermains underneath Albert Street and Pine Street; a new fish-friendly culvert crossing Albert Street; continuation of the VIU bikeway between Pine Street and Milton Street; and extensive landscaping. We would also like to thank the Government of Canada's Canada Community-Building Fund and the B.C. Active Transportation Infrastructure Grants Program for their grant contributions.

NRGH Petition
The Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH) is the only tertiary hospital for the entire Central and North Island, serving a population of 460,000. Nanaimo City Council has committed to advocating for a much-needed cath lab and patient tower at NRGH so that residents of this area have fair access to health care. Click here to find out how you can help and sign the petition.

No Smoking

Please remember that smoking is not permitted in city parks or on city trails. We are already experiencing dry conditions, and they are expected to continue into summer so let's work together to keep our parks safe.
