Pool Closure Update

Plans for reopening have been submitted to Vancouver Coastal Heath with an inspection scheduled for March 24. We will also be working with staff next week to determine a modified schedule for gradual re-opening.

To make this happen, a lot of work is happening behind the scenes, including staffing, reinstating programming, and completing all the necessary preparations for running an aquatic facility.

We sincerely thank the community, user groups, and staff for their support and encouragement in getting this facility back up and running.

Canada Public Transit Fund's Baseline Funding steam

The following release is from the newsroom of the Government of Canada.

Through the new Canada Public Transit Fund’s Baseline Funding stream, BC Transit will receive an annual funding allocation amounting to more than $189 million over ten years. Funding will upgrade, replace, or modernize public transit infrastructure for 33 transit systems serviced by BC Transit, and maintain them in a state of good repair.

This investment, beginning in 2026 until 2036, will help increase the housing supply and affordability as part of complete, transit-oriented communities, while helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate the impacts of climate change.
