Renewal 2023 | Board Meeting | Office Closure

Late renewal fees are now in effect

COBC's annual renewal period is into its final weeks, and late fees are in effect. Any registrant who has not yet renewed their licence through their online account should do so as soon as possible.

Do you know someone who hasn't renewed? Encourage them to do so by Sunday, April 30 to avoid being suspended. Remember: only registrants of COBC are entitled to use the title "optician."

Board meeting

COBC's spring board meeting will take place at our offices at 200 Granville Street on Thursday, May 11, beginning at 9:00 AM. Registrants are invited to RSVP by emailing Christopher Dodge at cdodge@cobc.ca.

The resources in COBC's Automated Refracting Toolkit aren't just for your reference. It's mandatory that you provide your client with copies of the Client Information Sheet (Form 1A) and the completed Client History & Eligibility (Form 1B), along with their Assessment Record, if one is produced. Copies must also be kept in the client record.

College of Opticians of BC operates on the traditional, ancestral and unceded Coast Salish territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.

Unsubscribing from this email will revoke your consent to receive email correspondence from us as outlined in Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We will no longer be able to send you important reminders pertaining to your licence, which may affect your registration with the College of Opticians of BC. Please contact us if you have any questions.
