IRES News & Events

Last week, the UN Human Rights Council adopted a resolution recognizing with overwhelming majority THE RIGHT TO A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT!

IRES’s Dr. David Boyd has advocated for the adoption since 2018 as the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to a healthy environment. He thanked civil society and communities, including environmental, human rights, youth, women’s and indigenous peoples, who have fought for the right for 30 years.

The IRES community commends David for his phenomenal contributions and extends our gratitude to all those involved in this historical breakthrough in favor of a sustainable planet.”
