Baskets, Beauty and Colonization: Indigenous Baskets and Tourist Collectors 

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, local Indigenous artists made miniature baskets to sell to tourists. The exhibition documents the contacts that took place between Indigenous peoples and colonist tourists through baskets recently donated to Special Collections and historical photographs.
