Our 2019/20 Annual Report is Now Available

We're thrilled to share our 2019/20 Annual Report and celebrate the hard work of our patient and health care partners over the last 10 years! PVN and patient engagement have evolved over the last decade and partnerships between patient and health care partners continue to positively impact BC’s health care system.

We're proud to have supported 475 patient partners in 237 engagement opportunities last year, while growing our network to almost 1,200 patient partners and strengthening our relationships with health care organizations across the province.

We’d like to thank everyone who participated in engagement opportunities, followed our journey and supported our work. As always, we welcome your feedback and ideas as we look ahead into this year and those to come!

"What Matters to You?" with Virtual Care Appointments

“What Matters To You?” Day started in Norway in 2014, with the goal of encouraging meaningful conversations between patients, caregivers, families and their health care providers. It's a simple question that can have a big impact on care.

In an evolving world where we're now seeing a number of health care appointments taking place virtually, these two new resources help identify what’s important to patients receiving care on videoconferencing platforms and how trusting relationships can continue to be built and maintained.

And since virtual health care is new to most patients, we’ve also developed a checklist in partnership with patients which enables health care providers to prepare for and make the most of their virtual care appointments.
